At Silva’s our Preschool Program offers many things for the growing preschool child. Our program provides the children Play with a purpose. It’s done in a warm, loving, secure and very stimulating environment. The greatest experiences that your child can obtain from our program are those experiences that will help to cultivate your child’s physical, social, emotional and intellectual development.

Our preschool classes are well-balanced and structured while focusing on the child’s creativity and their need to explore while learning. Through pretend play and dramatic play the preschool child will experience the creative exploration and socialization that they need with other children their age.

Our preschool curriculum has been designed to give your child individual attention, to enhance your child’s learning experience. The children are given opportunities to achieve to the best of their own abilities. They are provided with a structured environment that has a daily schedule. Each week teachers will focus on new goals with themes that are relevant to the children in the classroom. Colors, shapes, numbers, letters and days of the week are gone over on a daily basis, so children will become familiar with these things that shape their continuing education. They also practice their writing skills using different writing utensils. This environment keeps children involved, busy and interested in learning and provides them with the maximum learning experience daily.

Our teachers will provide children with meaningful, active, play-based learning experiences that will nurture their growth in all aspects of development, social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs. Every child is viewed as a unique individual who has interests’ strengths and needs that generally differ from others. Gathering information from families, and conducting assessments we create educational programs that are developmentally, culturally, and linguistically tailored to the individuals in each group. Teachers arrange and implement a consistent schedule of activities so children can predict their day, anticipate enjoyable activities, and help to guide their own behavior.
